The video I made during this show was the girls hockey recap. Girls hockey played against Prior Lake Lakers. This game was back and forth in the first period, making the score 1-1. The second period did not go in Eastview’s favor though, all goals were scored for the Lakers. After two periods the Lightning were losing 5-1, but despite the deep hole they dug themselves into, they had comeback with  3 quick ones in the third to make the game 5-4. Eastview lost the close battle, giving up 3 empty net goals in the closing minutes. The game was a lot closer than the final score of 8-4.

The girls have a very talented roster this year with depth at the forward positions and solid defense. They are mostly lead by wing, Natalie Snodgrass. She is one of the most talented players in the country and has represented the United States at the world juniors tournament. She led USA to win gold scoring two goals in the gold medal game, one being the overtime winner. She helps complete the veery talented Eastview roster.

The girls season has been a rollercoaster this year. Winning games over highly respected Lakeville North, and tying section rival Eagan. But despite these good games they have had their share of poorly played games losing to teams they are heavily favored over. The past two years the Lightning have made it to the state tournament, with last year barely losing to Edina in the first round 1-0. After these past two seasons, the Lightning are hoping to make a return for a third straight year.

Go Lightning!
