Breaking it down at the end of the day

Even through a  rainy afternoon, the boys track team still showed up to finish in 3rd place at the JV Championship meet. Contributing to the teams 3rd place finish was Sophomore Angelo Paulucci, who won the boys 400m with a time of 54.25 and Ben Danner (Junior), who took first in the boys 3200m with a time of 10:35.44. Danner lead a pack of 5 Eastview runners who quickly separated themselves from the rest of the field, opening in a 75 sec first lap. The pace quickly slowed to 81’s for two laps before Danner put his foot down and brought the pace of the next two laps down to 79 and then 78. The top three Eastview finishers were Ben Danner (Junior) in first, followed by Junoir Nick Dolan and Softmore Ian Kenny in second and third respectively.

Not to be out done Junior Sam Erickson ran his 1600m race in a time of 4:49.9 which was  good enough for a second place finish. Not far behind was Freshman Grant Piller in his first ever sub 5 minute mile with a time of 4:59.36. Continuing the solid performances was Jessie Laurson (Junior) finishing 4th in the 800m with a time of 2:11.4, as well as Freshman Colby Rubischko running a 2:12.61, the 9th fastest freshman time in school history.

The teams next meet will take place on May 22nd at Prior Lake highschool.
